“These Are The Times” in Cobalt Review’s 2017 Baseball Issue

If you know me, you know I love baseball. I write about the game almost everyday in some small way. I use it as an analogy for life, and if you don’t believe me, just read a few pieces from my column Peanuts & Crackerjacks over at Change Seven Magazine.

Editor-in-Chief, Andrew Keating, is truly my hero for making this one of his pet projects and for producing an issue every single year that is so different than all of the other literary magazines out there. I look forward to reading it from the time pitchers and catchers report in the spring all the way up until one lucky MLB team hoists the World Series trophy. And to make the issue even more impressive, the whole thing is built around a writing prize that’s named after one of baseball’s scrappiest and outspoken managers of all time, Earl Weaver.

Well, the issue came out today. And though I did not win the prestigious Earl Weaver Baseball Writing Prize, my short story (“These Are The Times”) was named a semifinalist and has been included in the issue–which will make reading it this year at least ten thousand times sweeter.

Please join me in thoroughly enjoying the 2017 Cobalt Review Baseball Issue.

Play ball!!
