Adrienne Kisner is not only a talented young adult author, she also a professor, a residence director, a birder, and truly one of the coolest people I know. The first time we ever met was back in our undergraduate days at Albright College, where we both loved reading literature but never dreamed of becoming dueling kidlit authors who debuted their first novels almost simultaneously some 20 years later. When she agreed to read an ARC of my upcoming release, ON THE WAY TO BIRDLAND, I was ecstatic. It felt like everything we’d done to become authors over the past two decades had finally come full circle. When she came back to me with the kind words you see at left, I admit I had to hold back the waterworks a bit.
I hope you’ll pick up a copies of Adrienne’s latest young adult novels DEAR RACHEL MADDOW, THE CONFUSION OF LAUREL GRAHAM, and SIX ANGRY GIRLS.
And I hope you’ll pre order a copy of ON THE WAY TO BIRDLAND from your local indie bookstore through the wonders of BOOKSHOP.
