I’m excited to announce I’ll be heading back to my hometown tomorrow (Wednesday, May 1) to host a Jeopardy-style Battle of the Books competition between the three high schools in the district from which I graduated high school.
The Black Horse Pike Regional School District provided me with the tools I needed to live out my dream of becoming a young adult author. That’s why I’m so thankful to have a chance to pay a visit to their students and to sing the praises of my past teachers and my alma mater.
The opportunity, in fact, came with the perk of my young adult novel, NO SAD SONGS, being selected as one of ten books that will be read by all regional participants and become the subject of inquiry during the competition.
The competition begins at 6PM at Highland Regional High School in Blackwood, NJ. It will be preceded (at 5:15PM) by a reading and signing by yours truly. The event is open to the public and all proceeds will help support programming and reading development in the district. All are invited, so I hope to see you there!
