I want to thank Frank Stasio and Amanda Magnus for inviting me as a guest on WUNC’s “The State of Things” to discuss my novel and the complexities of youth caregiving. I was honored to be in the company of local experts Betsy Olson and Twanna Monds. We had an opportunity to make connections between the youth caregivers of the present and the protagonist in my novel, No Sad Songs, and shared common experiences from our own lives.
