I’m lucky. One of my favorite bookstores on Earth happens to sit along Main Street in my hometown. Sunrise Books is a literary bastion in High Point, NC. It also represents the only independent bookstore I’m aware of between Winston-Salem and Greensboro. The place is loaded down with the latest titles, serves free coffee, and provides a relaxing and intimate environment to sit down and enjoy a good book.

The coolest thing? One of those “good books” people have been enjoying most on their visits to Sunrise Books is, well, my book. No Sad Songs was named one of 2018’s top sellers by the Sunrise staff, and it’s an honor and a delight to see my novel on a table next to such prestigious company.
