Today marks the opening day of a two week long blog blitz for myself and my new young adult novel, No Sad Songs. If you haven’t heard of it before, No Sad Songs is about a young man who loses his parents and is thrown into the gauntlet of youth caregiving in the blink of an eye. His grandfather, a WWII vet, is in the later stages of Alzheimer’s and Gabe learns quickly that taking on the responsibilities of a caregiver and trying to maintain his life as an ordinary teen is a recipe for disaster. It’s punk rock, poetry, baseball, and growing up all rolled into one.
