On Tuesday, February 20 my debut young adult novel hit shelves and I’m absolutely over the moon about it. The feedback I’ve been receiving from actual readers on the ground has been overwhelming, and I’m delighted to know that creating a character like Gabe LoScuda is already helping young adults out there internalize the feelings of someone who’s been suddenly thrust into the role of caregiver for a loved one with dementia. It is a subject that hits close to home for me as I spent much of my teenage life watching my father play this same role for my grandfather. I had a chance to share my personal story and read a few key moments from the book in front of a packed house at Scuppernong Books in Greensboro, NC on Tuesday night. I am so thankful to all the avid readers who showed up to listen to me read, speak, and answer questions. Enjoy a few pics from the event:
If you were unable to make it out to the launch event, but you’d like to attend one of my future readings you can find a full listing on my EVENTS page. In the meantime, you can ORDER A COPY of NO SAD SONGS, read more about it or leave a review at Young Adult Books Central (YABC), or add it to your GOODREADS TBR for future reading. Readers, thank you for your support and for your wonderful feedback.
Congratulations and many, many sales for you!!!
